Enjoy a beach day surrounded by nature on Isla Holbox, a beautiful Caribbean island with a unique environment that is home to numerous bird species.
Isla Holbox Day Trip
After picking you up from your hotel in Cancún at the designated time, we'll travel to Chiquilá port, where we'll board a small boat to Holbox Island, located off the northern tip of the Yucatán Peninsula.
When we arrive on the western side of the island, we'll make our first stop at a paradisiacal beach, where you'll have 45 minutes of free time to relax in the sun.
We'll then head to Isla Pasión, a small island of unspoiled beaches home to a variety of bird species. Here you'll have free time to explore the area and relax under the palapa at the viewpoint, which looks out over the whole island.
Our next stop is Punta Mosquito, an untouched beach stretching over 30 kilometers (18 miles), accessible only from the sea. Between March and October, this area is home to an impressive population of pink flamingos on their way to South America.
Next, and depending on availability, we'll either stop for lunch at a local beachfront restaurant or eat on board the boat. Either way, we'll enjoy a delicious traditional meal from the region. Once we've recharged, you'll have between 1.5 and 2 hours of free time to enjoy the beach and visit the village of Holbox, just a few minutes away on foot.
After a day exploring the charms of Holbox Island, we'll take the boat back to Chiquilá port and begin the journey back to your hotel, where we'll say our goodbyes 12 to 13 hours after pickup.
Itinerary Changes
Please also note that the order of the itinerary as described may vary. Depending on the weather or other organizational reasons, it is possible that you will not be able to visit Punta Mosquito. Instead, we'll visit the Isla Pájaros or the Yalahau cenote.
Flamingo Sightings
Although it's common to see pink flamingos between the months of March and October, they are wild animals that roam freely. Therefore, it cannot be guaranteed that we'll see them.
