On this tour of the Guadalupe Valley, we’ll take you to explore wineries, cheese shops, and olive groves that reflect the culinary evolution of Baja California. You'll be able to sample their local products!
Tour Details
After picking you up from your hotel in Ensenada, we’ll drive through rolling hills that signal our arrival in the Guadalupe Valley, Mexico’s most important wine-growing region. Ready to treat your taste buds?
Our first stop will take us to Ojos Negros, a region with an extreme climate where the desert conditions favor the production of distinctive artisanal cheeses. We’ll visit a traditional cheese factory to learn all about the cheese-making process. Did you know that some of these cheeses age in caves?
We’ll continue to L.A. Cetto, a winery where wine and art share the same space. Surrounded by sculptures overlooking the vineyards, we’ll discover how creativity blends with winemaking.
Further on, the Magoni winery awaits us, hidden beneath a centuries-old oak tree that has silently witnessed many harvests. Beneath its roots, fresh white and rosé wines are born. Can a tree influence the character of a wine? We’ll find out!
Just 200 meters (656 ft) away is the Dubacano winery, where we’ll tour its extensive vineyards and cellar. Afterward, we’ll head to an olive oil mill, where Mediterranean tradition and Baja California soil come together. Here, the varieties reveal green, herbaceous, and fruity nuances.
Finally, we’ll wrap up the day at a restaurant to enjoy the local cuisine before heading back to your hotel in Ensenada, where we’ll say our goodbyes 5.5 hours after pickup.
