On this excursion to Sololá and Lake Atitlán, we'll take a tour of Guatemalan tradition and folklore and visit a typical market!
Sololá & Lake Atitlán Tour
We'll pick you up at your hotel in Guatemala City at 7 am and drive to Sololá, one of the most touristic cities in the country!
This municipality is one of the few in the Guatemalan highlands where you can still see its people dressed in traditional clothing, full of color and embroidery. There, we'll learn about the special meaning of this particular dress.
Then, after a brief tour of the city, we'll go to one of its most famous attractions: the Sololá market. Among its craft stalls, we'll see the daily and commercial life of the town and explore its narrow streets! Then, we'll enjoy the gastronomy of Guatemala with a typical lunch that includes a starter, a main course, and a dessert.
Sololá is located next to Lake Atitlán, whose shores are home to 12 communities of Indigenous Peoples, descendants of the Quiché, Kaqchikel, and Tzutuhil tribes. We'll admire this natural wonder while immersing ourselves in Guatemalan folklore.
Finally, we'll return to Guatemala City and drop you off at your hotel around 3 pm.
