On this mezcal tour in Huatulco, we'll visit the agave fields that produce one of Mexico's most popular drinks. We'll also get to taste different varieties!
Huatulco Mezcal Tour
We'll pick you up at the scheduled time from your hotel in Bahías de Huatulco. After a short 15-minute drive, we'll arrive at Palenque Los Abuelos, the perfect setting to immerse ourselves in the liquid culture of Oaxaca.
We'll start by visiting an agave field on the outskirts of the town. Here we'll learn how the plant is cultivated and discover the origins of this ancestral distillate. We'll also explore a small nursery where we'll learn about traditional wild agaves, which are essential for producing different types of artisanal mezcal.
Once the tour of the field and nursery is finished, we'll head to the heart of the palenque. There, we'll witness the artisanal production process before moving on to a tasting of four wild Oaxacan mezcals, a unique tasting experience in the Bahías de Huatulco destination due to its quality and tradition.
To complete the experience, we'll enjoy a traditional lunch that includes: quesillo sopes, typical Mexican salsa, seasonal fruit juice, coffee, and delicious regional bread. A true feast of authentic flavors!
If you are looking for quality, tradition, and a genuine experience in Huatulco, this is the place to be. Finally, we'll make our way back to your hotel, where we are scheduled to arrive 4 hours later.
