Go rafting in the Lacanjá River and have an adventure in a beautiful part of Mexico. We'll speed through waterfalls and pools of water and raft past lush greenery during this unforgettable activity.
Rafting in the Lacanjá River
Rise and shine! We'll pick you up from your hotel in Palenque at 5:30 am and travel by bus to a campsite near the Lacanjá River. On the way there, we'll stop for a buffet breakfast of eggs, beans, chilaquiles and seasonal fruit.
When we get to our destination, we'll give you all the equipment you'll need and stroll to the banks of the Lacanjá River. The expert instructors will make sure we enjoy this fun activity in complete safety. Let's go!
Once we're on the banks of the river, also known as the "green water snake", we'll get into the rafts and start rowing among the numerous waterfalls and backwaters. While we raft, we'll admire the thick vegetation from the Montes Azules Biosphere Reserve.
After our rafting activity, we'll go on a 2-hour walk through the jungle to see some of the fauna and flora that inhabit this natural reserve. Feeling peckish yet? We'll head back to the camp for a delicious typical lunch of grilled chicken, quesadillas with salad or a Mexican steak.
We'll then hop on our bus and take you back to your hotel in Palenque, where you'll be dropped off at around 8 pm.
