We'll meet at the indicated time in front of the imposing Puebla Cathedral to start our tour. First of all, we'll admire its baroque façade while you learn the secrets of its construction and the symbolism it holds.
Then, we'll head inside the temple to explore this majestic 16th-century monument in depth. For half an hour, we'll appreciate the artistic and spiritual richness of the Cathedral, stopping at some of its most emblematic chapels, such as the Gospel Chapel, the Chapel of St. James the Apostle and the Chapel of Our Lady of Guadalupe, each of which holds unique details that will surprise you!
We'll also go to the Altar of the Kings, one of the most magnificent spaces in the temple. Here, we'll admire the niches with figures of saints that give it its name, in a setting of great magnificence that will leave you speechless.
Afterwards, we'll walk through the Zócalo of Puebla, where you'll learn about the original layout of the city and its key role in colonial times. Walking through the first urban area, we'll discover the history of the portals, the Municipal Palace and other emblematic buildings that still mark daily life. The next stop will be the model of Puebla, which allows us to understand how the city was planned and expanded from its origins, with special emphasis on its urban and spiritual evolution.
To wrap up the tour with a flourish, we'll go up to the terrace of the Royalty Hotel, which has one of the best views of the historic centre. The Cathedral of Puebla will be in front of us, now seen from above.
