On this excursion to Love Beach, we'll discover one of the most special and romantic places in the Marietas Islands and learn all about this secluded volcanic archipelago.
Love Beach Day Trip
At the designated time, we'll meet up on Calle H. Escuela Naval Militar in Puerto Vallarta. A few meters away, a Zodiac boat will be waiting for us to take us to Love Beach, or the Playa del Amor as the locals call it.
We'll arrive at the Islas Marietas National Park and go around the Larga and Redonda islands to see their natural arches and other unique rock formations on these two uninhabited volcanic islands.
Next, we'll go to the famous Love Beach, which is hidden in a cave with a huge hole through which the sunlight enters, creating a magical and romantic atmosphere. We'll swim between 75 and 100 metres (245 and 325 feet) to access the beach, which we'll enjoy for about 20 minutes, before we swim back the same way we came.
Afterward, if you wish, you'll have the chance to put on your snorkeling gear to explore the rich marine ecosystems in the Mexican Pacific. You may encounter octopuses, turtles, and even manta rays. Also keep an eye on the rocks, where the blue-footed booby usually roosts.
Lastly, we'll get back onto the boat and head for Puerto Vallarta, arriving back at the departure point 5 hours after meeting.
