At the appointed time we'll meet at the Helinorth Helicopter Port, ready to board a helicopter and travel to Martín García Island. Off we go!
We'll take off and fly for 25 minutes over the confluence of the Uruguay River with Río de la Plata until we reach Martín García Island, declared a protected natural reserve in 1998. From the air, we'll have stunning views of the great vegetation of this natural oasis.
When we land at our destination, you'll have two hours of free time to explore Martín García Island. We recommend visiting the former prison where Argentine presidents Hipólito Yrigoyen, Juan Domingo Perón, and Arturo Frondizi were imprisoned. From here, you can also visit the island's open-air labyrinth, the General Urquiza theater, and the old bakery.
If you're feeling peckish, you can sample the local gastronomy in the oldest restaurant on the island. Bon appetit! Finally, we'll reconvene and return by helicopter to the starting point, where we'll finish the excursion after approximately 3 hours of activity.
