We'll pick you up at your hotel in San Francisco de Campeche at the designated time, and after an almost 1-hour journey, we'll reach one of the most beloved treasures of the state: the archaeological site of Edzná.
During this 2-hour guided tour, we'll explore this majestic Mayan settlement whose history dates back to the year 600 B.C. We'll walk among ceremonial squares, temples, and palaces as you discover the sophisticated architecture and engineering of this ancient civilization. Did you know Edzná has an advanced hydraulic system for water storage and distribution?
One of the highlights of the tour will be the famous Templo de los Cinco Pisos, a stunning structure that rises over the rest of the complex. From above, you can see the perfect distribution of the ceremonial city. Plus, we'll share the legends and details of the daily life of the former inhabitants of Edzná. You'll be amazed by how advanced this culture was!
After immersing ourselves in the Mayan world, we'll travel for 1.5 hours to the coastal town of Bahía Tortugas, located in front of the tranquil waters of the Gulf of Mexico. Here, you'll have 2.5 hours of free time to swim and relax under the sun.
You can also use a voucher to enjoy lunch at one of the restaurants of Bahía Tortugas. You'll be able to choose between recipes made from fresh seafood and typical Campechano dishes with spectacular views of the sea.
Finally, we'll return to San Francisco de Campeche and say our goodbye at your hotel after a total of 7 hours.
