Embark on a cross-border adventure from Argentina to Chile and discover the breathtaking beauty of Pucon - a city where lush forests meet shimmering lakes.
Private Day Trip to Pucon
We'll start our journey by picking you up at your hotel in downtown San Martin de los Andes at 7:30 am, heading towards National Route 234, and passing by the village of Junín de los Andes. After driving for 40 minutes, we'll cross an araucaria forest along the Malleo River, and arrive at the border crossing, Paso Tromen. From here, we'll get a stunning view of the Lanín Volcano's north face, and enter the Chilean jungle to visit a Curarrehue village, home of the Mapuches.
Next, we'll take a 70-km (43-mile) drive along the Trancura River, and finally arrive at our destination, Pucon, a city located where the jungle meets the lakes. Once we reach there, we'll be welcomed by Lake Villarrica and the imposing Villarrica Volcano.
You'll have two hours of free time to stroll along the idyllic beaches of Pucón and explore its traditional food establishments, where you can try the delicious seafood. Don't forget to take a dip in the warm waters of Pucón or explore Villarrica Lake.
After spending time in Pucón, we'll head back to San Martin de los Andes at 8 pm, where we'll accompany you back to your accommodation and the day trip will come to an end.
