Tour Details
After picking you up from your hotel in Tuxtla Gutierrez at the designated time, we'll set off toward Chiapa de Corzo to begin this unforgettable experience.
After about 30 minutes, we'll reach our destination. Upon arrival, we'll enjoy a scenic boat ride through the breathtaking Sumidero Canyon, where towering cliffs rise to 3280 ft (1000 m) high. During this 2-hour boat ride, you'll see striking rock formations, waterfalls, and local wildlife, such as crocodiles, monkeys, and a variety of bird species.
Then, we'll drive for 1 hour to the main Sumidero Canyon Viewpoint, where you'll have 40 minutes of free time to take in the spectacular views and take incredible pictures of the Sumidero Canyon from above.
Next, we'll drive for about 40 minutes to visit the Miguel Álvarez del Toro Zoo, popularly known as Zoomat. This is one of Mexico's most important zoos, known for its conservation of native species from Chiapas in a natural environment. Here, you'll see jaguars, quetzals, monkeys, and other iconic animals from the region.
Afterward, as we head to Tuxtla Gutierrez, we'll stop at a restaurant on the way, where you'll have 1 hour of free time to enjoy local cuisine. We'll then drive for about 20 minutes until we reach the Cristo de Chiapas. This colossal concrete and stainless steel cross monument has become a symbol of the state of Chiapas. Here, you'll take in the panoramic views of Tuxtla Gutiérrez in all its splendour and enjoy a beautiful sunset.
Finally, we'll return to Tuxtla Gutiérrez, where we'll arrive 10 hours later.
