At the indicated time, we'll pick you up at your hotel in Guadalajara to begin this exciting tequila adventure as we head to Amatitán. Let's go!
After a 1.5-hour drive, we'll arrive at Casa Herradura, one of the oldest and most renowned distilleries in Mexico. Here, we'll learn about the entire tequila production process: from cooking the agave piñas to the distillation and aging. We'll tour its old production line and enter a factory where over 200 years of history took place.
Did you know that music video clips of artists such as Luis Miguel or Vicente Fernández have been filmed here? During our visit to the renowned distillery, we'll enjoy a tasting of one or three tequilas, depending on the option you choose when you make your reservation. Cheers!
Along with the tour, which lasts about 2.5 hours, we'll also explore the oldest part of the estate: the hacienda San José del Refugio, declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO. Founded in 1870, this historic property is an authentic journey into the past. Within its walls are hidden legends and stories that will transport us to the Mexico of the past. We'll walk through its rooms and learn how this hacienda has preserved its traditional qualities over the years.
To end this experience, we'll travel to the Magical Town of Tequila. There we'll take a 30 to 45 minute walking tour through its charming historic center, exploring its cobblestone streets, plazas, and symbolic monuments that make this place a national treasure.
Before returning, we'll enjoy lunch at a local restaurant, which will include a main course, dessert and a drink. An ideal break to savor the typical gastronomy of the region.
Finally, we'll return to Guadalajara and say goodbye at your hotel, 8 hours later.
