Day Trip Options
At the time of booking, you can choose between two different tours. Both include hotel pickup, return transfer and a private guide in English. Below, you can see the particularities of each tour option:
La Fortaleza Distillery Day Trip (10 Hours)
At the indicated time, we'll pick you up at your hotel in Guadalajara and head to the prestigious La Fortaleza distillery, one of the region's most prized treasures.
Before arriving at La Fortaleza, we'll make a stop at Tequila Selecto, one of the few factories that combines artisanal and industrial methods during the production of tequila. Upon arrival, we'll take an exclusive 1.5-hour guided tour of the agave fields and facilities. We'll also enjoy a tasting of tequilas, liqueurs and artisanal creams—you'll be amazed by the variety of flavors!
Next, we'll head to La Fortaleza, where we'll visit the distillery factory for about 2 hours. We'll learn about the artisanal production process, including the bottling area, the cork workshop and the aging cellar, all done using traditional methods. The experience will culminate with a guided tasting of the four blends of Fortaleza Tequila in the ancient aging caves, a true journey into the heart of tequila!
After exploring the distillery, you'll have 2 hours of free time to stroll around the picturesque Pueblo Magico of Tequila. You can admire its colorful main square, take pictures in its historic archways and grab lunch at a local restaurant.
To finish the tour, we'll make a 2.5-hour stop at the famous Cantaritos El Güero. Here, we'll be able to buy one of the most representative cocktails of Jalisco in a cheerful and festive atmosphere, the perfect ending to an unforgettable day!
Finally, we'll return to your hotel, arriving 10 hours later.

La Fortaleza Distillery & Fields Day Trip (10.5 Hours)
With this option, after picking you up at your hotel in Guadalajara, we'll go directly to the prestigious La Fortaleza distillery.
After visiting the factory as described above, we'll also explore the barrels and agave fields of La Fortaleza. During the tour, which lasts about 4 hours, we'll discover the traditional tequila process, from cooking in brick ovens to distillation in copper stills and bottling.
We'll also take a 30 to 45-minute walk to a lookout point inside the property, from where we'll marvel at the agaves and soak up a magnificent panoramic view of the town of Tequila. The experience will end with a guided tasting of the four blends of Tequila Fortaleza in the old maturation caves, an unforgettable experience for lovers of good tequila!
Afterward, we'll continue the itinerary described above: you'll have 2 hours of free time to explore the Magic Town of Tequila, and we'll make a 2.5 hour stop at Cantaritos El Güero to enjoy the festive atmosphere and its famous cocktails.
Finally, we'll return to your hotel, arriving 10.5 hours later.
