Join us to discover one of the most important Mayan archaeological sites in Mexico in an original way. On this day trip from Mérida, you'll attend a light and sound show in Uxmal.
Activity Details
After picking you up at your hotel in Mérida at the designated time, we'll head south. After a 1-hour drive, we'll arrive at Uxmal, one of the most important archaeological sites of the Maya civilization.
Upon arrival, you'll be amazed by the structures that have turned into a lively canvas of light, color, and sound. We'll see a projection mapping with a narration of Mayan stories as the multicolored lights glide over the Pyramid of the Magician and the Nunnery Quadrangle, featuring symbols such as snakes, eyes, cosmic trees, waterfalls, and anthropomorphic shapes.
The Uxmal show captures the connection between the spiritual and the terrestrial by combining visual images and sounds. You'll listen to jungle sounds, some chants in Mayan languages, and stories that accompany projected images. All this will happen under a starry sky, aligned with the same astronomical precision as the ancient Mayans used on their buildings. You'll see ancestral memory illuminated!
After the show, the activity will conclude back at your hotel in Mérida, 4 hours after pickup.
