Huge rock formations and stunning natural waterfalls await us on this day trip to Santiago Apoala from Oaxaca, where we'll discover the fascinating landscapes of the Mixtec region.

We'll pick you up at the indicated time at 1015 Melchor Ocampo Street in Oaxaca and drive to the Mixtec region, which is renowned for its rich natural diversity.
After a journey of around 3 hours, we'll arrive at the Apoala viewpoint, which offers spectacular views of the Santiago Apoala valley and its surroundings—ideal for panoramic photographs and for appreciating the beauty of the area.
We will then take a 1.5-hour walk to the famous Peñas Gemelas, one of Apoala’s most iconic landmarks. We'll also visit a small natural cave.
Afterwards, you’ll have an hour to have lunch in the local village. Once you’ve regained your strength, we'll head to the stunning Cola de Serpiente and Velo de Novia waterfalls, two of the most beautiful in the region.
The route will continue towards Laguna Encantada, known for its turquoise waters. Here, you’ll have around 1.5 hours of free time to stroll around, enjoy the natural surroundings and take a refreshing dip if you wish.
Finally, we’ll head back to the meeting point in the city of Oaxaca, where we’ll conclude this 12-hour trip.
