Montebello Lakes & El Chiflón Waterfalls Tour

Having been picked up from your hotel in San Cristóbal de las Casas at 8 am, you'll set off in the direction the Lagunas de Montebello National Park. After around a two and a half hour drive, you'll reach one of the most incredible natural features of the region: the El Chiflón Waterfalls, close to the Sumidero Canyon.

You'll visit one of the main attractions of the El Chiflón Ecotourism Center, the El Chiflón Waterfall. There, you'll climb the 800 steps to reach the top of the waterfall and enjoy amazing views.

Also, you'll walk through the jungle for about a mile and stop at some waterfalls such as El Suspiro, 80 feet high (25 meters), Ala de Angel, over 98 feet (30 meters) high, or Velo de Novia, with a drop of over 400 feet (120 meters). The beauty of its turquoise waters will blow your mind!

Next, you'll continue the tour with a walk around the national park of the Montebello Lagoons for an hour and a half. In this place you'll find several lagoons with different colors and shades, from turquoise to black, due to the surrounding floral scenery.

After enjoying all day this wonderful natural environment in the heart of Mexico, we'll return to downtown San Cristobal de las Casas at 8 pm.
