Activity Details
At the indicated time, we'll pick you up from your hotel in San Pedro de Atacama to begin this exciting adventure. We'll make our way towards Cerro Toco Volcano, and during the journey, which will take around an hour, we'll stop off at a shop where you'll be able to buy water and snacks.
Before beginning the hike, we'll make a stop to acclimatise with a 1 km (0.6 mi) walk at an altitude of 3,100 m (10,170 ft). Then, we'll make our way towards the base of the Cerro Toco Volcano, located at around 5,100 m (16,732 ft) above sea level. Ready?
Over the course of 2 hours, we'll make our way to the summit, making a few stops to be able to catch our breath, drink some water and enjoy some amazing panoramic views of the Andean landscape. Don't forget to bring your camera!
Once we've returned to the base of the volcano, after resting for 45 minutes, we'll begin the return journey to San Pedro de Atacama. Finally, we'll say our goodbyes back at the hotel after 7-8 hours together.

Please note that hotel pickup is included only for accommodations located within a 5-kilometer (3.1 mile) radius of the center of San Pedro de Atacama.
If your accommodation is outside this radius, or if the street is not accessible to vehicles, we'll contact you after the booking to provide an alternative meeting point.
