After arriving at Casa Bosque facilities at El Yeso Reservoir, we’ll give you the necessary instructions see here to ride the horses safely. Once we’re ready, we’ll begin this horseback ride exploring the surroundings in the heart of the Andes.
Along the route, we’ll learn about the area’s natural features, including geological formations, flora, fauna, and the secrets of one of Chile’s most impressive reservoirs. As we ride, we’ll admire the scenic beauty of El Yeso Reservoir until reaching the viewpoint at 3,000 meters (9,843 feet), accessible only via the Mesón Alto route. From there, you’ll enjoy incredible views of the reservoir, perfect for photos.
After experiencing the beauty of Chilean nature up close, we’ll return to Casa Bosque Restaurant. The horseback ride lasts a total of 7.5 hours.
Upon arrival, we’ll recharge with a picnic-style meal consisting of a sandwich of your choice, along with snacks and fruit. With renewed energy, we’ll take you back to your hotel.
