On this wine tour through the vineyards of Tequisquiapan, we'll visit some of the most emblematic wineries in Querétaro, taste wines of excellent quality and discover why this region has become a reference point for wine tourism in Mexico.
Tour Details
At the indicated time, we'll pick you up at the Andador Comercial de Vista Hermosa to start our vineyard tour of Querétaro. Are you ready to discover the flavor and wine tradition of the region? Here we go!
After a 35-minute drive, we'll arrive at our first stop: the Azteca Vineyards. This hacienda, considered the most authentic vineyard in the region, combines the world of wine with the charro tradition. Here, we'll take a 1.5-hour guided tour, and enjoy a wine tasting from the vineyard. A spectacular start!
We'll continue our tour and make a 2-hour stop at Vinícola San Patricio. At this family winery, they'll show us how the artisanal process of winemaking is done. Through a personalized tasting, we'll taste three house wines and learn the distinct profiles of each one.
The next stop of the tour will be at the boutique cheese factory named Quesos Bocanegra, where we'll discover the aging room before tasting a delicious regional cheese board. This tasting will be accompanied, of course, by a glass of Querétaro wine. In addition, we'll enjoy an exquisite artisan pizza accompanied by a fresh salad and a glass of local wine, an irresistible combination!
After 1.5 hours at the cheese factory, we'll visit the Tasting Room, a space dedicated to artisanal products from the semidesert region of Querétaro. Here we'll spend an hour tasting sauces, dressings and liquors made with local fruits, an explosion of flavors to conclude the day.
Finally, we'll return to the starting point and say goodbye after 6 to 7 hours in total.
