La Quemada + Jerez Tour
We'll pick you up at 9:45 am at your hotel in Zacatecas and drive to the south of the city.
The first stop will be at the archaeological site of La Quemada: an important pre-Hispanic site dating back to between 300 and 1200 A.D. We'll first visit the museum of this ancient settlement, where we'll learn about the pre-Columbian culture of the interior of Mexico.
We'll continue our tour of the archaeological site with a visit to the votive pyramid of La Quemada. The views from this site are sure to amaze you, as you'll enjoy beautiful panoramic views of the Malpaso Valley and its amazing landscapes.
After the tour of the site of La Quemada, we'll continue our tour in the direction of the Pueblo Mágico de Jerez. In this picturesque town, the birthplace of the famous poet Ramón López Velarde, we'll take a guided tour to explore the main monuments of the historic centre.
We'll pass by such highlights as the Hinojosa Theatre, the sanctuary of La Soledad or the parish church of the Immaculate Conception. We'll continue our tour of Jerez along with other iconic places such as the House-Museum of López Velarde or the Rafael Páez garden.
At the end of the walk through the old town you'll have an hour free for lunch. Finally, after lunch in the centre of Jerez we'll return to your hotel in Zacatecas, where we'll arrive at 4:45 pm.
