Teúl Excursion
At 8 am on the morning of the tour, we'll pick you up from your hotel in Zacatecas. From there, we'll hit the road and make our way south, where great surprises await us.
The first stop will be at the Tlaltenango Canyon, where we'll take in views of the stunning landscapes of the southern part of the state of Zacatecas. We'll then follow the route south to make two brief stops in the picturesque towns of Tepetongo and Tlaltenango de Sánchez Román.
Continuing the excursion we'll reach El Teúl, a hill on the outskirts of the town of the same name that's home to one of the most important Mesoamerican archaeological sites in Zacatecas.
After discovering what outstanding remains have been found on this hill, we'll head into town for a guided tour of Teúl, one of Mexico's famous Pueblos Mágicos, or 'Magical Towns.' On this tour, we'll admire the most important monuments of the historic center, including the Parish of San Juan Bautista and the Sanctuary of Our Lady of Guadalupe.
The tour of Teúl then takes us to the House Museum of General Jesús González Ortega. We'll also stop at Mezcalería Don Aurelio for those who wish to try this iconic spirit. Next to this establishment is the Los Jorges restaurant, where you'll have an hour of free time for lunch.
After lunch, we'll finally return to your hotel in Zacatecas, where we'll arrive at 6 pm.
