Sailing Course Details
At the designated time, we'll meet at Costera 63 to begin this catamaran adventure. Ready to learn how to sail on Lake Bacalar? Let's go!
Firstly, you'll have a brief talk about the use of the equipment and safety rules. Then, you'll be ready to venture into the exciting world of competitive sailing. Time to lift our anchors!
During the first part of the class, we'll spend an hour getting to know the basic sailing theory. You'll learn how to trim the sails, manoeuvre safely, and understand the different courses depending on the wind.
Afterwards, we'll go onto the practical elements. Aboard a Hobie Cat-style catamaran, you'll experience the excitement of sailing on Lake Bacalar for an hour. We'll learn how to move the sails and anchor. If the wind is blowing strongly, it'll be the perfect moment to let loose!
The session will come to an end with one final hour dedicated to dismantling and checking the equipment. You'll get to go over what you've learned and ask any questions you may have to consolidate your new sailing knowledge.
After a total of 3 hours, we'll say our goodbyes at the original meeting point, having instilled a new passion for sailing in you.
